Privacy Policy
Last updated: November 3, 2026
Curb2Go ("Curb2Go," "we," "us") is operated by GRID INYC LLC. This policy explains what information we collect when you order from a food truck through curb2go.com or any truck's Curb2Go storefront, or when a truck owner uses our platform, how we use it, who sees it, and the choices you have.
The short version
- We collect only what's needed to take and fulfill your order.
- The truck you order from receives your name, phone number, and order details. Payments are handled by Stripe, and we never see or store your full card number.
- We don't sell your personal information.
- Order texts are sent for your order. Marketing texts are sent only if you tick the separate box at checkout, and you can reply STOP at any time.
- You can ask to see or delete your information by emailing [email protected].
Information we collect
When you order as a customer:
- Your name and phone number, and your email address when you give one
- What you ordered, your pickup date, time and location, any notes you add, and your order's status
- Whether you chose to contribute to a "pay-it-forward" meal, and loyalty-reward progress tied to your phone number, where the truck offers it
- If you tap "I'm here" on your order page, a note that you've arrived (we do not collect your device location for this)
- A review or rating, if you leave one
When you're a truck owner: your name, email, phone number, business details, menu and schedule, and, if you turn on live tracking, the location of your truck while it's on.
Payment information: Payments are processed by Stripe, Inc. Stripe collects and stores your card details under its own privacy policy. We do not store full card numbers.
Automatically: basic technical information such as your IP address and device or browser type, which we use for security, abuse prevention, and keeping the service running.
On your own device: your browser stores your cart, your last order, favorite items, and, if you've ordered before, your name, phone number, and email, so ordering is faster next time. This stays on your device and you can clear it in your browser settings.
Communications: if you contact us, we keep a record of that correspondence.
How we use your information
- To take your order, process payment, and let the truck prepare and hand it to you
- To send order confirmations, ready-for-pickup alerts, refunds and dispute updates by text or email
- To run loyalty rewards and other features a truck has turned on
- To process payouts to trucks through Stripe Connect
- To detect and prevent fraud or abuse (for example, limiting repeated free-trial signups)
- To answer support requests and improve the service
Who sees your information
The truck you order from. Each truck is a separate business. It receives your name, phone number, email (if given), order details and notes, loyalty progress, and your messages-consent choice. It uses these to fulfill your order and, only if you agreed, to send you offers. Trucks may be able to download their own customer list. Each truck is responsible for how it uses what it receives.
Service providers who help us run Curb2Go, and only for that purpose:
- Stripe: payment processing and payouts
- Twilio: sending text messages
- Resend: sending email
- Supabase: database and authentication
- Cloudflare and our hosting provider: delivering the site and protecting it from abuse
- Mapbox: maps and address search
- Browser and device notification services (such as Apple and Google), if you turn on push notifications
Legal and business reasons. We may disclose information if the law requires it, to protect our users or the service, or if the business is sold or transferred to another company, in which case your information may transfer with it.
We do not sell your personal information. We do not share it with others for their own marketing. No mobile information, including SMS opt-in data and consent, will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.
SMS/text messaging program
By providing your phone number at checkout, you consent to receive transactional SMS text messages from the food truck you ordered from (operating on the Curb2Go platform): order confirmations, "ready for pickup" alerts, and cancellation/refund confirmations. With your separate, optional consent, you may also receive occasional marketing texts (for example, where a truck will be parked). Phone numbers collected for order notifications are sent through Twilio and are never shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.
- Message frequency varies based on your order activity, or, for marketing texts, is occasional and tied to the truck's own promotions.
- Message and data rates may apply.
- You can opt out of SMS messages at any time by replying STOP to any message. You'll receive one final confirmation text and no further messages from that number, with the exception of a one-time order-related message already in progress.
- Reply HELP to any message for help, or email [email protected].
- Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
How long we keep information
We keep account and order information while an account is active, and for a reasonable period afterward as needed for recordkeeping, tax, and fraud-prevention purposes.
Security
We use encrypted connections (HTTPS) and limit access to our systems. No system is perfectly secure, so we can't guarantee absolute security.
Your choices
- Ask to access, correct, or delete your information by emailing [email protected]. We may keep some records where the law or fraud prevention requires it.
- Stop texts by replying STOP, or ask us to remove you from a truck's marketing.
- Clear saved cart and contact details by clearing your browser data, or by tapping "Not you?" on a truck's page.
Children's privacy
Curb2Go is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we'll change the "Last updated" date above.
